There are two ways to get DISH's Free HD for Life promotion. Option 1, The most popular option is to have your account set up to credit card auto pay. As long as you agree to paperless billing we can offer you free HD for life, and there is no upfront fee or any monthly cost. Option 2, If you do not want to keep your account on auto pay, then DISH will collect a one time payment of $99, but there are no monthly charges for HD programming. We strongly recommend AutoPay (option 1) to avoid any upfront fees. So if you indicate that you have HD TV's our ordering system will automatically default to the AutoPay option to avoid any start up fees.

  • Dual Tuners are multi-room receivers that operate two televisions. Both TV (A) and (B) can watch different channels at the same time. Each TV gets its own remote control.

You can record two things at once, and watch up to two recorded programs simultaneously! Each TV gets its own DVR remote control.
  • HD Dual Tuners are multi-room receivers that operate two televisions. Both TV (A) and (B) can watch different channels at the same time, but only TV A will be able to watch HD programming. TV B will receive standard definition programming. Each TV gets its own remote control.
  • HD-DVR Dual Tuners are multi-room receivers that operate two televisions. Both TV (A) and (B) can watch different channels at the same time, and can each perform DVR functions, but only TV (A) will be able to watch HD programming. TV B will receive standard definition programming. Both TVs can record HD programming simultaneously. Each TV gets its own DVR remote control.
  • The ViP 612 receiver is a single-TV, HD-DVR. It can watch and record both HD and Standard Definition (SD) programming. This is a single-TV dual tuner, meaning you can record one thing while watching something different on live TV! Both tuners can record HD and SD programming. This receiver comes with 1 DVR remote control.
