• Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
  The DVR is a digital video recorder. It is a receiver with a built in hard drive, which allows you to record programs directly on to the receiver itself. So you can record all your favorite shows and watch them on your own schedule and fast forward through commercials. Or if you are watching a live program and you miss something (phone rings, doorbell, etc…), you can pause your show or even rewind it to see what you missed. Our most popular DVR is the HD-DVR Multi-Room Dual Tuner called the ViP 722k.
• Multi-room viewing and DVR access
  With DISH Network, we have multi-room dual tuners, so one receiver will operate two TV's. The first dual tuner is included in your package price. (Each TV can watch different channels, and has its own remote control.) An HD dual-tuner receiver will run High Definition to the primary TV and standard definition to the 2nd TV, and is included in your package price.
  
  HD-DVR Dual Tuners are multi-room receivers that operate two televisions. Both TV (A) and (B) can watch different channels at the same time, and can each perform DVR functions, but only TV (A) will be able to watch HD programming. TV (B) will receive standard definition programming. Both TVs can record HD programming simultaneously. Each TV gets its own DVR remote control.

• Remote DVR Access (DISH Remote Access)
  DISH Remote Access is a mobile App unique to DISH Network. It allows you to do so many things with your DISH Network DVRs. With this App you can watch you TV, search your TVs programming guide, schedule a recording and manage your DVR, your can even control your receiver as if your mobile device were a remote control.
• Dolby Digital Audio
  While at the same time DISH delivers the industry's best and most HD content, DISH Network also gives you optical outputs on many of their most popular receivers which allow you to take advantage of Dolby Digital audio and other types of advanced audio output.
• Video on Demand and Pay-per-View (PPV)
  Choose from thousands of movies and shows with DISH Network's Video on Demand (VOD) services. Some of the VODs are paid and some are not. In addition to DISH VODs, Pay per View (PPV) events are also available for purchase. These typically include seasonal sports coverage, one-time events, big fights, or other types of exciting sporting events.
• Picture in Picture (PiP)
  Picture in Picture is a feature that many of our dual tuner receivers are able to take advantage of. It allows you to use both satellite tuners on one TV. What this means is that you can watch two channels on the same screen, at the same time. You've often seen this as one channel taking up the whole screen and a second channel in a corner taking up a smaller portion of the screen.
• 3D Enabled Receivers
  3D is here, and DISH is ready. While there is not a lot of 3D programming being broadcast by your favorite channels yet, be assured that when they do, that DISH is ready. The 922 receiver is already equipped with DISH 3D.
• EPGs and Parental Controls
  DISH Network has one of the industry's fastest and most user friendly electronic programming guides, or EPG for short. The EPG is what comes up on the screen when you press "menu" to select what channel you want to watch, or to manage your DVR. Some of our HD-DVR receivers allow you to view the EPG up to nine days in advance!
